More press for the Weidner Center, reinvigoration plans

Fox Cities Magazine featured the reinvigoration of the Weidner Center for the Performing arts in its Spring 2012 Arts Guide, outlining changes on the horizon and interviewing director of programming Kate Green. As we told you late last year, goals for the Weidner’s strategic planning process include serving the University’s academic mission, using programming to engage diverse groups, increasing access throughout the community and re-branding the venue as an arts and events epicenter.

Officials are expected to release the Weidner’s 2012-13 lineup, which will consist of 14 to 18 performances (including two Broadway shows) this spring.
