Campus Kitchen effort gets airtime on WBAY

The voting was scheduled to remain open until 12:01 Thursday morning for UW-Green Bay to earn a $5,000 startup grant through the Campus Kitchens Project, a nationwide initiative designed to reduce food waste and address the issue of hunger in local communities. WBAY, Channel 2’s Kristyn Allen came to campus Tuesday (Jan. 28) to do a story on the UW-Green Bay effort, which is being spearheaded by the Reducing Waste and Feeding the Hungry Student Organization and the University’s Social Work program.
