Phoenix women stumble but remain in Top 25

After two consecutive defeats, the UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team has fallen from 17th to 24th in the latest AP poll. On Saturday, the Phoenix lost 81-72 to Illinois-Chicago at the UIC Pavilion. The defeat came just two days after Loyola handed the Phoenix its first loss of the season and ended a 34-game regular-season winning streak. The Phoenix (16-2 overall, 5-2 Horizon League) will be battling for a share of first place when Butler comes to the Kress Events Center at 7 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 28).
