UW-Manitowoc renovation ready for start of the semester

In late 2016, Manitowoc County approved funding of $5 million for a renovation of the original building, Founder’s Hall, built in 1962 on UW-Manitowoc’s campus. The renovation is ready for the spring semester. “The State of Wisconsin provided new laboratory equipment, classroom equipment, furniture, IT infrastructure and other movable equipment. The UW Foundation, a local group supporting the Manitowoc campus, raised money and contacted donors like the Kohler Company to donate fixtures and equipment. It’s ready for the spring semester, which opens this week. We work well together. Credit the UW Foundation of local residents and the State of Wisconsin for supporting this project to make it a wonderful success,” says author Bob Ziegelbauer, Manitowoc County executive, of the story he submitted to USA Today-Network Wisconsin. The grand opening ceremony for the project will be at 5 p.m. March 7 at the campus.
