UW-Manitowoc’s Michael Sheeks leads thriving musical scene

USA Today Network-Wisconsin featured a story this week about a thriving arts seen in Tisch Mills. The Forest Inn — just off State 42 between Manitowoc and Kewaunee — is back producing theater and hosting musical groups in quite an ambitious season planned by new artistic director Michael Sheeks (associate lecturer, UW-Manitowoc, Communication-Theatre Arts). “It opened last fall with a production of Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie,” featuring UW-Green Bay student LakerAnne Thrasher (soon to be seen in two play readings at Third Avenue Playhouse in February) in the role of Laura. The theater holds 88 patrons at cabaret tables, and the ticket cost includes high-end appetizers served 45 minutes before curtain and an intermission dessert.
