Rosewall writes textbook, ‘Arts Management: Uniting Arts and Audiences’
UW-Green Bay Prof. Ellen Rosewall is the author of the new textbook Arts Management: Uniting Arts and Audiences in the 21st Century, released this month by Oxford University Press, USA. The 352-page volume is described as one of only a few, if any, comprehensive textbooks on arts management written for undergraduates. It includes case studies and critical-thinking exercises that address today’s environment for the visual and performing arts. Topics range from governance and human resources to program development, financial management, marketing, fundraising, educational outreach and more. Rosewall, a member of the Art and Design faculty, coordinates the University’s Arts Management program and is widely recognized as a consultant, arts management specialist and arts advocate. She is vice president of the international service organization the Association of Arts Administration Educators, and a past president of the Wisconsin Public Radio Association and Arts Wisconsin.
