Faculty note: Prof. Emeritus Lockard’s publication

Historian Craig Lockard, professor emeritus of Social Change and Development, reports that a revised version of the “Last Lecture” that he gave to fellow UW-Green Bay faculty, staff, students and the public just prior to has retirement last December has now been published as the centerpiece essay in a new journal, The Middle Ground: An Online Journal for World Historians. The editors asked various other teachers and scholars of world history to respond to Lockard’s essay titled “Crossing Borders: Disciplines, Cultures, and Histories,” and invited Lockard to reply (his response was  “Afterthoughts on Crossing Borders”). The new journal is dedicated to exploring the links between secondary and college-level approaches to studying and teaching world history. Read more.
