The state’s network of Small Business Development Centers welcomes John Winkler as a small-business counselor for the northern region. Winkler will split time among the University of Wisconsin’s Green Bay, Oshkosh, Stevens Point and Superior campuses. He will provide technical assistance for second-stage companies and high-impact businesses most capable of job creation or attracting new capital. Winkler’s career experience includes starting both a manufacturing operation and a service business in Northeastern Wisconsin, and he holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Virginia. The federally supported position was among those created by the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010. Read news release.
