No Super Bowl wagering! (If you have anything to do with D-I Athletics)

With the Super Bowl coming up, it’s a good time to remind the University community about the NCAA rules regarding sports wagering. It is impermissible for any Athletics staff and/or student-athletes to wager on any sporting event. So, even though UW-Green Bay doesn’t sponsor football, and the Super Bowl involves professional teams in any event, it is still impermissible for those associated with Phoenix Athletics to gamble on the game. This also includes any University employees who have responsibilities within or over the athletics department such as the Chancellor, our Faculty Athletics Representative, our Kress Events Center Director of Operations, and others. If you have questions about whether your relationship to Athletics would constitute a violation for the school if you do not adhere to this policy, seek guidance from Debbie Kirch, assistant athletics director for compliance and student services, at KirchD@uwgb.edu.
