John Arendt, Associate Director of UW-Green Bay’s Environmental Management and Business Institute, and Natural and Applied Sciences Prof. John Katers published the article “Compact fluorescent lighting in Wisconsin: elevated atmospheric emission and landfill deposition post-EISA implementation” in the July 2013 edition of Waste Management & Research. The journal article focuses on the projected rise in atmospheric and landfill mercury waste due to increases in sales and extremely low residential recycling rates of compact fluorescent lights (CFL).
