Prof. Emeritus Michael Kraft, Public and Environmental Affairs, spoke to WLUK, Fox 11 news about how the issue may — or may not — affect the November election. “The president’s supporters are already likely to support that position,” Kraft said. “Had he not made that announcement, he might have lost some support among the left side of the Democratic party and particularly those in the gay and lesbian communities.
