Lacey to serve three-year term on Commission on Dietetic Registration Board

Karen Lacey, senior lecturer emerita and former director of the dietetic programs, Department of Human Biology, was just elected to serve a three-year term (beginning in June 2013) on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Board. This national board oversees the credentialing of Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DRT). Additional responsibilities of the commission address advanced practice and certification standards of the profession. Lacey has been very active in the Academy as a member of many state and national committees, boards and initiatives; most recently serving as the President of the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
