Election analysis: Helpap, voters offer take on state Supreme Court primary

WFRV, Channel 5’s Jenn Sullivan made her way to campus to talk election Tuesday (Feb. 19), interviewing Assistant Prof. David Helpap and several voters about the state Supreme Court race. Although turnout for the primary was expectedly low, who wins the seat — incumbent Pat Roggensack will take on Marquette University Law School Prof. Ed Fallone in April — makes a difference, Helpap and voters agreed. “These are the individuals who are going to be on the state Supreme Court for the next 10 years,” Helpap said, “and these are the individuals who are going to make the final decision when it comes to things like collective bargaining, voter I.D., and a variety of other issues.” Full story.
