In the news: WBAY story details Borseth family cancer fight

WBAY, Channel 2 on Monday (Feb. 17) featured a touching, triumphant story about Phoenix women’s basketball Coach Kevin Borseth and his family. Four years ago, Borseth’s daughter Carli, a senior at Green Bay Notre Dame Academy, entered a fight for her life when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She endured chemotherapy and beat the disease, and now, along with twin sister Kayla, is looking for a repeat state championship with the Notre Dame Tritons basketball team. Reporter Dave Schroeder interviewed Coach Borseth and the twins, talking about the experience and its aftermath. “When cancer lives in your house and lives with you every day, it’s a little different for those families who have to experience it and live with it on a day-to-day basis,” Borseth said. “It’s a trying time. You just have to embrace the days that you have on earth and treat every one like it’s the last day, because it very well could be.” Full story.
