Convocation note: Meyer was also among 30-year honorees

And speaking of convocation, we’d like to note that one of the event’s honorees — now-Prof. Emeritus Timothy Meyer — should have been recognized not once, but twice, in your program. In addition to receiving emeritus status during Wednesday’s event, Meyer also should have been recognized for 30 years of service to the University, along with honorees Marie Helmke and Sylvia “Mimi” Kubsch. Between his multiple accolades and his role in passing the Blair Chair torch to Prof. Phillip Clampitt, it’s perhaps understandable — though unfortunate — that something got missed. Thanks to Prof. Meyer for his three decades of service (and for his understanding).
