Hoop it up: Kress hosts prep Sundrop Shootout

If it’s the holidays, it’s time for the annual Shawano Sundrop Shootout being held not in Shawano, but here at the Kress, Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 28 and 29.  If you’re interested in catching some of the action, this year’s event features 19 varsity and 14 junior varsity boys basketball teams, most from NE Wisconsin. (It’s a chance for prep teams to play at a premier Division I venue, and a nice showcase for the Kress and UWGB, with high-schoolers and their families visiting in volume.) Admission for each day’s slate of games is $6 per ticket with children ages 6 and under getting in free. The varsity pairings (game times approximate):

Day 1, Monday, Dec. 28

• Brillion vs. Laconia, 12:05 p.m.
