UW-Green Bay jazz groups take Route 66 to Ipanema, and beyond

The UW-Green Bay jazz ensembles will play some all-time standards Friday (Nov. 5) in the University Theatre in Theatre Hall. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Jazz II Ensemble under the direction of Prof. Adam Gaines will kick off the program with “Route 66” written by Bobby Troupe, arranged by Michael Sweeney. Other selections include “The Girl From Ipanema.” Jazz I Ensemble, led by Prof. John Salerno, will perform five jazz pieces including “Sweet Georgia Brown.” Read more.
