Confirmed: Former President Bill Clinton will speak here Friday
It’s official: Former President Bill Clinton will speak Friday evening (Oct. 19) at the Kress Events Center, stumping for President Obama as the election enters its fast-paced final weeks. Doors open at 7 p.m. Regardless of your politics, it’s an historic day for UW-Green Bay — it’ll be the first time ever a U.S. president (sitting or former) has come to campus. Clinton will speak in the east and west gyms of the Kress Center (the former Phoenix Sports Center area), and it’s not yet clear how many tickets will be available. The Obama camp will distribute those tickets beginning at 6 p.m. tonight in the University Union, and again beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 18). One ticket will be distributed per person on a first-come, first served basis. Tickets also will be distributed at Obama field offices in Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh and elsewhere throughout the area.
