Major music, miniature morsels: UW-Green Bay’s ‘very small consortium’ is back

UW-Green Bay Music faculty members and special guests will present the second annual concert of “a very small consortium,” a music ensemble that plays mini masterpieces of 100 notes — or 60 seconds — or less. The diminutive show will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 in Fort Howard Hall at the Weidner Center. Works performed will feature voice, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano and strings. Admission is free. The compositions may be little, but the sound — and the talent — is big. Full details.
