Forum was a success, but verdict mixed on stimulus itself
Community leaders gathered in Green Bay on Monday to discuss the local impact of the federal stimulus plan. Several officials said the stimulus had a positive impact, but that it fell short of its goal of creating jobs. The event was co-sponsored by the UW-Green Bay Center for Public Affairs and the interdenominational coalition JOSHUA, among others. A point person for the forum was Barbara McClure-Lukens, recently of Outreach. Another former UW-Green Bay staff member, Tim Toepel, created a video that was a centerpiece of the event. Here’s a recap from the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
