Music to our ears: High school musicians hone craft, perform on campus
Young musicians from throughout the state are making sweet music on campus this week, part of the Wisconsin School Music Association’s 2012 High School State Honors Music Project. The project is designed to provide musically talented students with the opportunity to rehearse and perform with nationally known conductors in a professional and highly disciplined setting. Students on Tuesday (June 19) performed at 10 a.m. and noon in the Cofrin Family Hall, and at 11 a.m. in Fort Howard Hall of the Weidner Center. Chancellor Tom Harden was among those who stopped by to have a listen and greet the young musicians. See photos from the event.
