Wednesday concert to feature Wind Ensemble, Jazz I Ensemble, HS honors band

As promised Friday, here’s our complete news release on Wednesday’s (April 25) UW-Green Bay Music concert, set for 7:30 p.m. on the Weidner Center mainstage. The University’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz I Ensemble will be joined by a group of talented high school musicians from across the state for the joint show. The State Bound High School Honors Band is made up of outstanding student soloists from across the state who have qualified for the WSMA state solo ensemble festival. Wednesday’s concert is the culminating event of a day of rehearsals and clinics conducted by our own Music Prof. Kevin Collins, who will direct the honors band during the concert. Collins also directs the Wind Ensemble, while Music Prof. John Salerno directs the Jazz I Ensemble. Full details.
