A’viands promotes campus ‘Iron Chef’ competition

The first UW-Green Bay ‘Iron Chef’ competition will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in the Leona Cloud Commons in the University Union. Four student teams will chop, dice and sauté their way toward the ‘Iron Chef’ title as awarded by the folks from A’viands. Each team has one hour to prepare a starter, entrée and dessert that will be judged by a panel of culinary experts.

The University community is encouraged to attend and cheer on these teams for what is planned to be an annual campus tradition. Members of the winning team will receive one-night stays and four water park passes to the Tundra Lodge, with winning recipes incorporated into the A’viands culinary menu.

The four teams are:

“Small Hall Big Flavor” – Jennifer Moore and Ryan Wolfgram

“The Cheesy Macs” – Chelsea McConnell and Jonathan Eckelberg

“K and K Magic: Edible Alchemy” – Leah Korger and Rhianna Kunes

“We’re Golden, Not Burnt” – Sara Gilson and Megan Burkhart
