Next ‘After Thoughts’ to feature Ortiz, pilgrimage past and present

Associate Prof. Cristina Ortiz will lead a discussion of pilgrimage both ancient and modern during UW-Green Bay’s next After Thoughts presentation Tuesday, March 4. In “Modern Pilgrims and Ancient Paths: Saint James’ Path for the Contemporary Soul,” Ortiz, Humanistic Studies (Spanish) will discuss the historical importance and symbolism of an ancient Spanish pilgrimage, addressing the renewed popularity and meaning for those who walk it today. The After Thoughts event kicks off at 5 p.m. with an hors d’oeuvres reception, which will be followed by the 6 p.m. program in the Grand Foyer of the Weidner Center.
