Courtney Sherman and friends, 360° Thursday, and a small concert

The 360° Thursdays series resumes, well, Thursday (Jan. 30) with Music Prof. Courtney Sherman and members of a very small consortium joining forces for a free concert and talk at 6:30 p.m. in the Weidner Center’s Fort Howard Hall. They’ll celebrate new music in a concert that includes miniature masterpieces and standard-length compositions. A highlight will be a piece composed by ensemble member and UW-Green Bay Music faculty member Michelle McQuade Dewhirst based on a text by colleague Rebecca Meacham, Humanistic Studies. Performers are Courtney Sherman, soprano; Lada Gaines, soprano saxophone; Adam Gaines, trumpet; Michelle McQuade Dewhirst, horn; Elaine Moss, piano; Michael Dewhirst, cello. Read more.
