Join Cindy Johnson, MESA multicultural advisor for a virtual discussion on the book, “Don’t Ask Where I am From” by Jennifer De Leon, about a first-generation American girl named Liliana Cruz, who gets invited to attend a prestigious high school. While in high school, not only does Liliana learn about herself, she learns about family secrets while also experiencing racism and segregation at school.
