Remember, ‘no prior float-building experience needed’

UW-Green Bay will have a float in the Green Bay Holiday Parade on Saturday, Nov. 17, which is just around the corner. Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help with building and decorating the float, which will take shape in the Scene Shop in Theatre Hall, Room 111. Work sessions are scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. daily the week of November 12 (with the exception of Wednesday because of the Brand Launch Celebration). No prior float-building experience needed! Please let us know if you want to help by emailing Tina Tackmier at tackmiet@uwgb.edu.

Food drive, too — In conjunction with decorating the float, on Monday and Tuesday (Nov. 12-13) volunteers from Liberty Mutual will be on hand conducting a food drive for Freedom House: “So, come help us decorate, donate non-perishable food for families in need, AND enter for a chance to win an Apple iPad.”

Parade day volunteers? — The Holiday Parade team will also need assistance at the parade handing out goodies to the kids.  If you want to be part of the parade crew, email Tina at tackmiet@uwgb.edu. All they ask is you wear UW-Green Bay gear to represent the University.
