Student Life welcomes artist/urbanist Candy Chang

Student Life is proud to announce a visit by artist and urban planner Candy Chang on Thursday (Nov. 8) at 8 p.m. in the Union’s Phoenix Room. Some of the random art appearing on campus recently is similar to pieces Chang installs in cities all over the United States. She holds bachelor’s in architecture and graphic design, and a master’s in urban planning from Columbia University. She has won awards in her field and was named a “Live Your Best Life” Local Hero by Oprah Magazine. Chang is described as an artist who believes public spaces can better reflect community priorities by combing street art with “urban planning, activism, and contemplation.” Questions?
