Starting Friday, the 30 Day Yoga Challenge

The Kress Events Center fitness program has announced its first “30 Day Yoga Challenge.” Led by certified yoga instructor, Liz Brandt, the challenge begins this Friday (Nov. 1) and runs through Saturday, Nov. 30. It invites participants to make your own goals, but will also contain daily challenges sent by email. Says Brandt, “Each challenge only takes 5-15 minutes of your day, and is designed to help bring mindfulness to your practice. Those who complete the challenge will be entered in a drawing for private Yoga sessions or Personal Training sessions.” Sign up using the board in the aerobics studio and/or email Liz at branel06@uwgb.edu.

Or, how about ‘Power Yoga & Nidra’?

That’s the name of a free program open to all students, faculty/staff and Kress Center members from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Special Events Room at the Kress. Participants are encouraged to bring a sweatshirt, blanket and/or pillow for the Nidra portion. It’s intended for all levels, experienced to beginners, starting with a flowing Power Yoga practice and closing with a deep meditation (Nidra). Please email instructor Liz Brandt at branel06@uwgb.edu, if you have any questions!
