‘Politics of Food’ is topic at this Wednesday’s Philosophers’ Café

UW-Green Bay Prof. Dallas Blaney is the speaker and “The Politics of Food” is the topic for the next installment of the Philosophers’ Café discussion series. The monthly meeting is set for 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 3) at the Harmony Café, 1660 W Mason St., Green Bay.

Disappointing growing seasons in most of the key breadbasket areas of the United States and Russia have some concerned about a possible world food crisis; Wednesday’s discussion will touch upon vulnerable populations, social justice and whether the U.S., given its relative wealth and technology, could or should be doing more to initiate a global strategic food reserve.
