LIR DVD of poet laureate
Marilyn L. Taylor, Wisconsin’s Poet Laureate, presented a reading and discussion of some of her award-winning poems on Sept. 16 to a full house of Learning in Retirement members at the Neville Public Museum. Her poems, as one commentator noted, “range from hilarity to heartbreak,” and she “finds wisdom in the wisecrack, profundity in the pratfall, eloquence in the everyday.” LIR videotaped her presentation; a DVD of her reading can be checked out of the LIR office (WH 114) for classroom use.
