Reminder: Free ‘QPR Gatekeeper’ training for suicide prevention is Thursday

A free training program for faculty, staff and students called QPR Gatekeeper Training is set for noon to 1 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 25) in the 1965 Room of the University Union. QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer, and organizers say “one hour of your time might help you save a life.” Participants will learn how to recognize the warning signs, offer hope, and make sure the suicidal person finds the help they need.
