Historical Perspective Series announced

The Center for History and Social Change has announced its Historical Perspective Lectures Series for fall 2017:

  • Carl Wilkens, former head of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency International in Rwanda and author of “I’m Not Leaving” will speak on Re-framing the “Other”: Rwanda’s Response to Fear, Hatred, and Violence. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2 p.m., Christie Theater
  • Stephen Duncan, assistant professor at Bronx Community College (CUNY) will speak on his forthcoming book “The Rebel Café: Sex, Race, and Politics in Cold War America’s Nightclub Underground,” Thursday, Nov. 2, 2 p.m., Christie Theater
