Instructors are Invited to Complete the Teaching with Technology Certificate

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) is continuing the Distance Education Certificate program under a new title this year, the “Teaching with Technology Certificate.” The Teaching with Technology Certificate consists of three professional development training courses which must be completed in sequential order. Instructors will earn a digital badge after completing the first and second courses in the series, and will earn the Teaching with Technology Certificate after completing the third course. Eligible full-time instructors for the 2023-24 academic year can also earn a $750 stipend for completing the second course and an additional $750 for completing the third course. All instructors interested in learning more about how to leverage Canvas and other tools for effective teaching, regardless of modality, are encouraged to participate and complete the full certificate. Registration for the second course, LITE 201: Course Design runs through Friday, Sept. 15, and registration for the third course, LITE 301: Course Revisions, is open through Friday, Sept. 22.
