Chance to talk with UW System search committee is this Thursday
Members of the UW-Green Bay community will have a chance to share their thoughts with the search and screen committee seeking a new UW System president this Thursday (Sept. 12), via videoconference, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 1034 of the Instructional Services Building. The session invites UW System faculty, staff and community constituents to share with the committee priority issues for the UW System and the qualities desired in a successor to Kevin Reilly, who is stepping down in January. The videoconference is open to all.
Questions will guide discussion
Regina Millner, the Regent vice president and chair of the search committee, says search consultant Chuck Bunting will join the videoconference and help facilitate discussion. Among the questions they recommend participants consider in advance:
• What are the distinctive aspects and dimensions of the UW System?
• What are the key challenges and opportunities facing the UW System over the next five to ten years?
• What is the role and what should be the priorities, specifically for the new president, with respect to that future agenda?
• Given your responses to all of the above, what are the characteristics, skills and experiences we should be seeking as we search for the new president?
