Mike Bubolz named UW-Green Bay’s Chief Information Officer
UW-Green Bay’s Senior Vice Chancellor for Institutional Strategy Sheryl Van Gruensven is pleased to announce that Mike Bubolz has been named the permanent Chief Information Officer (CIO) at UW-Green Bay effective July 26, 2023. Mike has been serving as Interim CIO since December, leading the GBIT division and all information technology initiatives during that time period. “I am very happy that Mike will be leading GBIT now and into the future. Mike has excellent leadership and communication skills along with nine years of information technology experience at UW-Green Bay and over fourteen years within the UW System,” said Van Gruensven. “I am confident Mike will continue to provide strong leadership for the GBIT team and he has the expertise needed to guide UW-Green Bay’s strategy in all areas of information technology for the foreseeable future. Mike is fully committed to serving in this role and he has unlimited potential.”

Mike holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from UW-Milwaukee and has completed the MOR IT Leadership program. Mike previously served in information technology positions at Marquette University and UW-Milwaukee.
