UW-Green Bay employees notified of benefit-change implementation
Changes in Wisconsin state law will begin showing up on the pay stubs of UW-Green Bay faculty and staff. Employees were notified last week that with final legislative approval and Supreme Court clearance for Act 10, higher contribution levels for health insurance and retirement will take effect in late August or September, varying by employee classification. Employees also received a message from the deputy secretary for the state Department of Administration, who addressed a common question regarding speculation about possible changes to the Supplemental Health Insurance Conversion Credit (SHICC) program. There are no provisions in Act 10 that would impact SHICC benefits, the letter said, and at this point there are no provisions in the 2011-13 biennial budget that would impact SHICC benefits.
