Cal staffer will join Phoenix Athletics as assistant AD

Director of Athletics Mary Ellen Gillespie has announced the hiring of Brendan Gildea as assistant athletics director for internal affairs. Gildea comes from the University of California at Berkeley, where he has been a financial reporting analyst with responsibilities related to preparing the master athletics department budget, financial reporting and contract oversight.
