Summer tour season keeps things busy for Admissions Office

If you’re surprised to see sizeable groups of high school students and their families touring campus, don’t be. Summer is one of the busiest times for traditional high school student visits to campus. Last year, the Admissions Office hosted 775 prospective-student visits over the three summer months. That’s approximately 2,325 human beings (estimating 2 guests with every student) checking out our campus, often for the first time. Assistant Director Jen Jones tells us Admissions has summer preview days scheduled for Aug. 1 and 8, in addition to the daily Monday-through-Friday visits, morning or afternoon. The URL www.uwgb.edu/visit is the place for more information or to sign up for a campus visit.

You can help
The Admissions staff encourages anyone considering UW-Green Bay to make an official visit. It remains true that those who tour campus are much more likely to enroll here. Please share this information with anyone you know who is (or should be) considering UWGB as his or her school of choice. Also, if you see a tour group around campus, say “hello.” Campus is relatively quiet during much of the summer, so any help you can give in making their tour experience pleasant will be noticed and appreciated.
