First produce sale of the summer: SLO Food stand will open Wednesday


The SLO Food Alliance will have its first produce sale of the summer tomorrow (Wednesday, June 12) from noon to 1 p.m. outdoors on the Student Services Plaza, near the gardens. Come check out the new gardens, support this student project, and treat yourself to some fresh greens (assorted lettuces, spinach, arugula, kale, baby bok choi) and radishes.) A new wrinkle:  Pick and bag your produce directly from the garden plot — it doesn’t get any fresher than that! The students will have limited ability to make change, so small bills and exact change is appreciated. All funds collected support next year’s garden project. Watch for announcements about future sales as produce becomes available — peas. beans and beets are coming in strong!

Bonus sale: The SLO Food Alliance will also be selling produce at the Wellness Committee Healthy Potluck on Thursday June 13, from noon – 1 p.m. Look for the table near Phoenix C in the Union.
