Phuture Phoenix adds fall semester scholars

UW-Green Bay’s signature Phuture Phoenix program will welcome nine new scholarship recipients this fall, more than doubling the number of these phantastic scholars who call our campus home. The nine first-year students join six returning scholars who are using the scholarship funds to help supplement their University education. The Phuture Phoenix initiative serves students from at-risk schools in the greater Green Bay area, starting in elementary school. UW-Green Bay student volunteers and mentors serve as guides for an annual fall campus tour event for fifth graders, and work with students in their middle-and high-school classrooms to boost aspirations for college.
