Student artist to discuss ‘Fields of Green’ art at Union Tuesday morning

Whitney Lyn Robertson, whose mixed-media piece “Fields of Green” won the commission in the Common Theme’s student art competition, will be the special guest at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 4) at an artist’s meet-and-greet on the first floor of the Union. The newly installed art was chosen as the best representation of this year’s UW-Green Bay common theme, “Realizing our Sustainable Future.”

Robertson says she likes to incorporate neon colors and “little gizmos” into her art. “I really hope to show that being green can be very cool,” she says, “and recycled materials can look shiny and new if you give them a little TLC.”
