Surely it’s spring: The heirloom plant sale is here!
A staple of spring (and summer) is finally on its way to UW-Green Bay! Natural and Applied Sciences will host its annual heirloom vegetable plant sale on Saturday, May 18 (yep, that’s commencement day). Doors open at 9 a.m., with numbers passed out starting at 7 a.m. for those who don’t want to wait in line. This year’s sale will feature more than 75 varieties of tomatoes (2,500-plus plants) and 50 varieties of peppers (1,500-plus plants), as well as a variety of veggies, flowers, herbs and more. Proceeds from the sale, which wraps up at 3 p.m., benefit NAS students by providing support for visiting speakers, as well as assistance with research and conference costs, and more. Check out our press release for more info.
It is spring, and don’t call me Shirley … Pre-sale for faculty and staff
