Faculty note: Russell presents at geographers conference

Rachel Russell, an assistant professor of environmental policy and planning in the Public and Environmental Affairs academic unit, presented a paper last week at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Association of American Geographers. Her paper, “Evaluating Urban Sustainability Contributions of Centralized and Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure in Tijuana, Mexico,” assesses the local and regional sustainability impacts of a centralized and a decentralized wastewater treatment plant in the border city. This paper was also accepted for publication in the journal Urban Geography.
