Emily Rogers, ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’

In a recent Log we posted that Emily Rogers, coordinator of access services for the Cofrin Library, was a member of the 2013 Leadership Green Bay class recognized at the local Volunteer Leadership Awards last week. (Actually, her group was runner-up, not winner of the award as we incorrectly reported earlier.) In any event, Rogers and company started a Green Bay version of the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event that raises awareness for rape, sexual assault and gender violence. We now have details on this year’s event. It is planned for Saturday, May 3, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. and the walk at 11 a.m. departing from the Hagemeister Park bar and restaurant downtown.
