A celebration of Dr. V.M. Ganga Nair’s life will take place from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday (March 26) in the Phoenix Room of the University Union. Nair, who died earlier this month at age 80, was a founding member of the UW-Green Bay environmental sciences faculty, internationally respected in the field of forest preservation. Remarks will begin at 4:30, with guests invited to share their recollections. A scholarship fund has been established; in lieu of other expressions of sympathy, contributions can be made to the “Ganga and Elizabeth Nair Endowed Scholarship” and mailed to the UW-Green Bay Advancement Office, 2420 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay WI 54311.
