Boswell and hypocrisy at this week’s Philosophers’ Café
The next Philosophers’ Cafe takes place this Thursday (March 13) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Brendan’s Inn in downtown Green Bay. Hypocrisy is the topic for discussion, led by Assistant Prof. Caroline Boswell, an early-modern British historian with a keen interest in social politics. Do our interactions with friends and family, co-workers and peers, students and professors reflect our political ideals, or do we talk the talk without walking the walk? Are political and social values absolutes that should permeate all our activities or might they be contextual? The monthly talks are a joint project of philosophy faculty and students at UW-Green Bay and are free and open to all.
