Applicants for the Anne C. Kok Scholarship in Social Work/Social Justice
Prof. Anne Kok was the director of the Social Work Professional Program at UW-Green Bay when she was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2008. Memorial gifts from her family and several hundred friends, former students and colleagues established this scholarship.
The UW-Green Bay Social Work unit will award one $1,000 scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. The Anne C. Kok Scholarship is awarded to students who have a significant investment in pursuing an academic-sponsored international learning experience (e.g., study abroad, student exchange, international certificate program, etc.). This scholarship is available to full-time students who will have at least two semesters of course work completed at UW Green Bay at the end of the current semester and who will be full-time students at UW Green Bay during the 2011-12 academic year.
Questions about the scholarship can be directed to the chair of the Social Work Program (Dr. Jolanda Sallmann, sallmanj@uwgb.edu or 920-465-2029). Deadline for applying for the 2011-2012 academic year is March 25, 2011. Application materials are available – click here.
