Support UW-Green Bay through social media

At UW-Green Bay, we rise together when we work as a team. Come learn how you– an employee of UW-Green Bay– can be an integral part of the University’s social media presence through this professional development opportunity!

The click-through rate on a piece of content is two times higher when shared on social media by an employee versus when shared by a brand (or a University, in this case.) Tapping into the power of engaged faculty, staff and student leaders who are eager to spread the word about UWGB helps strengthen brand awareness and spreads the UWGB story. Imagine: If 20 UWGB folks share with their 300 friends, that reaches thousands of people very quickly. Knowing social media algorithms prioritize connections with people, your voice is an important element of a thriving social media program.

Join for this employee advocacy training on Friday, March 4 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in person in the 1965 Room, Green Bay Campus or virtually (email richterj@uwgb.edu to get link) to learn how to become an advocate for UW-Green Bay on social media.

Topics will include:

  • A brief overview of UW-Green Bay’s social media strategy
  • Recommendations for elevating your social media presence, while retaining authenticity
  • How to find your voice and share your UWGB story
  • Examples of advocacy in action

The presentation will be presented in partnership by UW-Green Bay Digital Communication Specialist Jena Richter Landers and members of the social media team at Hiebing, a Marketing and Advertising Agency. A recording will be available after the event for playback.

To RSVP and receive a link to the TEAMS livestream, email Jena Richter Landers at richterj@uwgb.edu.

Thank you in advance for your commitment to support UW-Green Bay on social media!
