‘Squaretable’ format for learning-technology series; next session is Thursday
Academic Technology Services is using the term “squaretable” to describe the format for the new monthly forum series addressing timely learning-technology topics. This month’s forum — on the topic of electronic textbook supplements — takes place at 3 p.m. this Thursday (Feb. 19) in Room 1004 of the Instructional Services Building. “Many faculty likely have been approached by publishers to use services such as Cengage’s Mindtap and wondered what, if anything, this might be able to add to your course,” writes Todd Dresser of ATS. “This is your chance to find out how your fellow faculty members have used these services and the degree to which they have found these services useful. We will have faculty members who use Mindtap, Aplia, and Pearson’s learning tools.” Future squaretables will cover topics such as building quizzes and tests, creating activities, integration with D2L, FERPA regulations, and more. Open to all.
